256-bit file encryption
Quick Crypt is a small and portable tool that offers 256-bit
file encryption to protect your sensitive files and documents. The program
offers some unique features that make it stand out of the crowd. You can
encrypt files with a unique System ID so that they can only be decrypted on
your computer, and you can also set an encrypted file to expire after a given
number of days. If an expiration date has been set, the file cannot be
decrypted anymore once the date has passed. Other features include a secure
file deletion option (up to 40 overwrites), file comments and ZIP compression,
as well as a password generator and optional integration with the Windows
"Send To" menu.

To run Quick Crypt smoothly, it's recommended you have a dual-core processor and at least 2 GB of memory.
*Windows 8 has the required .NET Framework built in. If you're running Windows Vista or Windows 7, you can check if your computer has .NET Framework 4.5.
Because Quick Crypt requires the .NET Framework 4.5, Windows XP is not supported. Per Microsoft, the
.NET Framework 4.5 is not supported on Windows XP.
